As we arrived in New Orleans, I couldn't help but notice the certain twinkle sprinkled around its historic streets. The very first moment I stepped foot along the French Quarter, it felt as though I had been teleported to a charming European town of yesteryear.

As we continued to crisscross through different states, we arrived in Arkansas, where wide cotton fields appeared suddenly from outside my window, like new-fallen snow sprinkled throughout the horizon.

Hall's Pumpkin Farm is located in Grapevine, Texas, a mere 20 minutes drive from Dallas. Unlike most farms that are only available to the public during the day, this family-owned farm opens in the evening, allowing the strings of cafe lights to sparkle as the sun goes down.

Although staking a spot in some of Austin's most beloved bars and restaurants can at times be like visiting a theme park — to get to the thrills, you may just have to brave some long lines — but al least the thrills are always worth the wait.
