Starting with none other than, Captain’s Cottage; a heritage-listed, quaint structure, lovingly restored into a fairytale-like holiday home. This is where we’ll be docking for our first two nights, marking our second visit to this romantic escape.

What was once a busy maternity hospital, originally built in the 1840’s, today, Raffah House has since undergone an extensive and sympathetic overhaul, transforming into a remarkable homestay.

Set above the sand dunes of the small coastal enclave of Seal Rocks, Fishcakes honours the humble beginnings of the classic Australian beach house, stirring the nostalgic longing for a holiday home by the sea.

Located within Fairlight, a leafy harbourside suburb of Sydney’s northern beaches, this remarkable home was formerly a workers’ cottage, built in the 1860s.

Nestled within a hilly street, the home’s original brick facade still stands mighty strong today, providing a delightful first impression to all who voyage here.

Arriving here was as if we’d just happened upon the quaint English countryside. It was autumn, and the winding roads were scattered with golden fallen leaves, with the scenery seemingly only getting better with passing time.

Just a 20-minute drive from Daylesford, you’ll stumble across Trentham – an equally whimsical town. And here lies the hidden gem, Acre of Roses.

There’s only a certain amount of time you can daydream about a place before you simply must give in to its charm, pack your bags, and make your way there.

As we stepped inside, it was as if the crackling fireplace gave me a big welcome hug — instantly, I felt at home.
