Back in October 2017, on day 109 of our 180-day American road trip, Kieran and I met up with author, Emma Reddington and photographer, Sian Richards, while parked in a leafy national park, just outside of Austin, Texas.

The event was held to celebrate the soon-to-be-launched collaboration between Sibella Court and Pottery Barn Australia, and even before arriving, knowing the aesthetic of both of these brands, I knew I was in for a treat — and boy was I right.

Last night I attended an intimate event with IKEA Australia, where they hosted their Cotten Conversation Dinner, at a warehouse studio in Alexandria, Sydney.

Spanning over two days, the event provided an opportunity for invited journalists and influencers from around the world, to get a scoop on the latest product designs and developments for the company.

Here we spent much time eating, sipping wine, soaking up the sun and taking in the views of the rolling valley.

We wandered about, sizing up each tree before picking 'the one'. Kieran got to cut it down himself and before we knew it, it was squeezed into our car and we were on the road again on our way.

To celebrate what has been a big year for them, a Christmas party was held at one of their registered venues, the Bangarra Room on Sydney’s Harbour.

Last night, around 5,000 people attended the annual Dîner en Blanc event in Sydney, which was sponsored by IKEA, to whom I was lucky enough to be a VIP guest of.

Within this rural suburb, two rivers meet; The Hawkesbury and The Colo, and here dwells an 1880's weatherboard church, previously disused and now a lovingly restored home.
