Back in October 2017, on day 109 of our 180-day American road trip, Kieran and I met up with author, Emma Reddington and photographer, Sian Richards, while parked in a leafy national park, just outside of Austin, Texas.

Last night I attended an intimate event with IKEA Australia, where they hosted their Cotten Conversation Dinner, at a warehouse studio in Alexandria, Sydney.

Spanning over two days, the event provided an opportunity for invited journalists and influencers from around the world, to get a scoop on the latest product designs and developments for the company.

Here we spent much time eating, sipping wine, soaking up the sun and taking in the views of the rolling valley.

We wandered about, sizing up each tree before picking 'the one'. Kieran got to cut it down himself and before we knew it, it was squeezed into our car and we were on the road again on our way.

Last night, around 5,000 people attended the annual Dîner en Blanc event in Sydney, which was sponsored by IKEA, to whom I was lucky enough to be a VIP guest of.

Within this rural suburb, two rivers meet; The Hawkesbury and The Colo, and here dwells an 1880's weatherboard church, previously disused and now a lovingly restored home.

In need of a little getaway, I found myself craving rolling green hills, swaying vineyards and rustic farmhouses — this desire had the Yarra Valley written all over it.

During our days spent at the magical Yarra Valley, we took retreat at one of Botanica Edition's properties, The Habitat House. It was a real treat to have somewhere this beautiful to retire to after busy days filled with exploring the region.

Determined to unlock the true potential of the 100-year-old wharf, the lobby and reception area of the previous hotel has now been transformed into a high-end, modular event space.

Last Friday IKEA held a launch party for the GILTIG range at the beautiful Poolside Café. The collection includes vibrant tableware and home textiles as the result of a collaboration with London-based menswear designer Katie Eary.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Betty who gave us a bucket to fill for only $12. Betty led us through rows and rows of navels waiting to be picked before leaving us on our own to explore.
