A Historic Stay at Raffah House, Oatlands
For our final stop on our Tasmanian roadtrip, we crisscrossed our way back through Hobart, heading north to the Southern Midlands region, where we reunited with Raffah House; a stunning sandstone cottage in the quaint town of Oatlands.
The Beauty Of Bruny Boathouse, Bruny Island
Given how this raw weather was looking to likely hold fast, we happily embraced all of the comforts that the boathouse bestowed, by keeping snug in the secluded corner of the living room, with generous bi-fold windows, where we could idly watch the waves crash onto the nearby jetty.
Seaside Splendour of Moon Bird Beach Shack, Beaumaris
This is where we've spent the last couple of days, unwinding in the living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, where I've spotted strikes of lightning from a passing storm, a rainbow after a spurt of rain, and the full moon rising come nightfall.
Victorian Elegance of The Townhouse, Launceston
The terrace house is a story of great resilience. Not only have they survived since being introduced to Australia in the 19th century, but they have thrived under a new generation of homeowners who've proudly modernised them, whilst maintaining their old-world bones.
Exploring the Shores of Ship Inn Stanley
Originally built in 1849, it’s not surprising to learn that this historic building comes with rich history; for the most part, trading as a seaside inn for 150 years, before a local family turned it into their private home, and now, returning back to its roots as an inn, befitting modern travelers.
Returning to Captain's Rest, Strahan
By now this shack is far from a well-kept secret, but rather, a beloved humble home that has captured many hearts, including my own. But that's the thing about places like these, they beckon to be discovered, and I highly recommend for you to pack your bags and do the same.
A Captivating Stay at Captain's Cottage, Hobart
Starting with none other than, Captain’s Cottage; a heritage-listed, quaint structure, lovingly restored into a fairytale-like holiday home. This is where we’ll be docking for our first two nights, marking our second visit to this romantic escape.
