March Into Merivale: 2016 Launch Party

Last night was the launch party for March into Merivale; the five-week annual food and wine festival in Sydney showcasing first-class food, desserts and drinks from over 50 of Merivale’s restaurants and bars. Armed with a VIP wristband (thank you, work perks!) I attended the dazzling event with my partner and two friends, eager to indulge in all that the night had to offer.

We wandered through the bustling Ash St Laneway, then to the Ivy, followed by the Pool Club, and later parked ourselves in the Felix bar. We were given tokens on arrival which we used throughout different pop-up stalls; there was everything from mini braised beef burgers (yes please!), plates of paella (I'll have two thanks!), and chargrilled octopus (ooh la la!), all the way to margaritas (I'll take the passionfruit!), Absolut Sea Breeze (wow, that's strong!), and Veuve Clicqout brut (that hangover in the morning will SO be worth it!).

Now having had a tantalising taste of what's to come, no doubt I will be back again for more... and more...
